PPT – Valerie

We have been in our house for one year, now.  I can’t believe how time flies.  We didn’t really want to move out of our last place, though.  It was just that we’d outgrown it.  Our littlest family member didn’t have a bedroom there, and sharing with his big sis just wasn’t going to work out.

Our old place was roomier, more private, and had a cute little fenced back yard.  It had a great view from the sliding glass door.  And, it had the best neighbor ever:  Valerie!

Last night, I walked over to Val’s house to pick up a package that she’d been holding for us.  This one medical supplier keeps sending Ryan’s diabetic supplies to our old address, even though we’ve given them the new one.  Anyway, it’s always been a great excuse to go visit my friend.

I miss living next to her.  Our evening chats.  Playing with the kids outside.  Hosing off our patios, side by side.  Growing new things and getting pretty excited about it!

Thank God for telephones and email, right?  We are so blessed to be able to keep in touch with friends so easily!

Val, if you read this, I just wanted you to know that I am glad you were placed in my family’s lives.  Thank you for all you have done for us and for making me laugh so hard.  Last night was a refreshing visit!  I hope we never lose touch.

(Yes, now the Mr. Rogers theme song is stuck in my head.)
